2 Poems by Stefanie Bennett

THE SPOILS

Those who know when old
Is new again are
The Bareback Riders
Before
The Age of Quartz.
Who speak if spoken
To, yet curse
A purple sage, and
The future
Without
The futures face...

SLIDE EFFECTS

... I hang my hat where
The oxygens lean
And cows
Come home
In single file.
Where nothings
Out to prove
A thing but
The believing
Thats
Behind
The green gate .
