Khuda hi ka jalwa nihaan dekhta hoon - Kalaam Hazrat Shah Niaz R.A.

Na tan dekhta hoon na jaan dekhta hoon,
Tujhi ko nihaan aur ayaan dekhta hoon.

Jidhar dekhta hoon jahaan dekhta hoon,
Khuda hi ka jalwa miyaan dekhta hoon.

Hai jo kuchh ki paida sab ayn haq hai,
Ki ek bahr-e-hasti rawaan dekhta hoon.

Agar koi jaan-e-jahaan gair-e-haq hai,
So maen us ko wahm-o-guman dekhta hoon.

-Hazrat Shah Niaz R.A.

English translation:

I see neither my body nor my soul,
I see only you as my inward being and outward being.

Wheresoever I look and whatsoever I see,
I see only the vision of God.

That which come into being is nothing but the real in itself,
I see only one current of existence running everywhere.

If any worldly object is dear other than the real,
I regard it as imaginary and illusory.

Jalwa-e-Jaanan - Hazrat Daag Dehalvi

Kya zauq hai,kya shauq hai sau marataba dekhun,
Phir bhi ye kahoon jalwa-e-jaanan nahin dekha.

Kya poochte ho, kaun hai? ye kis ki hai shohrat,
Kya tumne kabhi 'daag' ka deewan nahin dekha.

Wahi ru-ba-ru hai -Hazrat Khwaja Meer ' Dard'

Mera jee hai jab tak, teri justaju hai,
Zabaan jab talak hai, yahi aarzoo hai.

Tamanna teri hai, agar hai tamanna,
Teri aarzoo hai, agar aarzoo hai.

Kiya sair sab hum gulzaar-e-duniya,
Gul-e-dosti main ajab rang-o-boo hai.

Nazar mere dil ki padi dard, kis par,
Jidhar dekhta hoon, wahi ru-ba-ru hai.

-Hazrat Khwaja Meer Dard

Man tu shudam,Tu man shudi - Hazrat Amir Khusro R.A.

Mun tu shudam tu mun shudi,
Mun tun shudam tu jaan shudi.
Taakas na goyad baad azeen,
Mun deegaram tu deegari.

I have become you, and you me,
I am the body, you soul;
So that no one can say hereafter,
That you are are someone, and me someone else.

Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) love for Poetry

The book Shamaa'ile Tirmizi,in which Imam Tirmizi has recorded everything about the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) on the authority of the Sahaba-e-Karaam R.A.(Companions of Prophet SAW),and collected 397 ahadis which are divided into 55 Chapters. Drawing A pen picture of the Holy Prophet's (S.A.W) physical features, manners and characteristics has the following beautiful hadis which shows the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) love for poetry:

Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (R.A.) has related that holy prophet(S.A.W.) used to have a special pulpit in the mosque for Hazrat Hassan Bin Sabit(R.A.) to stand on it and recite couplets in the appreciations of Holy Prophet(S.A.W.).
Huzur (S.A.W.) also prayed to Allah to strengthen Hazrat Hisham Bin Sabit (R.A.) by the spirit of Hazrat Jibreel (A.S.) as long as he served the cause of Islam
It would have been a spectacular sight, The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) is seated on his mimber, all The Ashaba-e-Karaam (R.A.) present and Hazrat Hisham Bin Sabit reciting the couplets in praise of Holy Prophet(S.A.W.),lets say he recited his most famous lines:

Wa ahsanu minka lam tara qattu eynun,
Wa ajmalu minka lam talidi'n nisaau,
Khuliqta mubarraan min kulli`aybin,
Ka annaka qad khalaqta kamaa tashaau.>

The English translation of the above lines will be following:
No eye has set upon anybody handsome & fairer as you
No woman has given birth to anyone as beautiful as you
You were created free from all flaws,
As if you were created as you wish to be.

The literal Urdu translation will be:
Ya Rasool-Allah(S.A.W.)aaj tak kisi bhi aankh ne aap jaisa haseen-o-jameel nahin dekha,
Aur aap ke jaisa haseen aaj tak kise maan ne nahin janaa hai,
Aap ko tamaam aibon se paak kar ke qhalk kiye gai hain,
Aur mujhe to yun lagta hai ki aap jaise paida hona chaahte the waise hi paida hue hain.

In the same Shama'ile Tirmizi Hazrat Amir bin Ash-Sharid reported his father saying:
One day when I was riding behind the Holy Prophet(S.A.W.),I recited hundred verses from Ummayya bin Abus Salt's poetry. On every verse I recited he told me to go on. In the end He told me He was about to accept Islam."

In another hadis of Shamaa'il Hazrat Jabir Bin Samurah (R.A.) has narrated that:
He had hundreds occasions to sit in the company of Holy Prophet(S.A.W.)when the Companions(R.A.) recited verses and told tales of the Days of Ignorance(Daura-e-jahiliya).The Holy prophet(S.A.W.) did not stop them. he listened to them silently but some times laughed with them.

The Fearless Dervaish

A beautiful couplet from Diwan-e-Hafiz:

Az karaan ta ba karaan,
lashkare zulm hast agar
Az azal ta ba abad,
fursate-durveshaan hast.

If from one horizon to the other
Arrays there an army of aggressors.
From the Times Beginning till the End
Dervaishes are free of any Fear.
